Structure of ICPER

In September 2005, after considering the priorities, the new structure of the ICPER was approved. The structure consists of three work groups:

• Implementation of the EU Water Framework Directive in the Elbe River basin (WFD)
• Flood protection (FP)
• Accidental water pollution (H)

The activities of the WFD work group are supported by teams of experts:

• Surface waters (SW)
• Groundwater (GW)
• Data management (DATA)

The activities of the FP work group are supported by a team of experts:

• Hydrology (Hy)
